Charlie Ramos

Sanford artist Charlie Ramos draws inspiration from his former life on the shores of a secluded lake in rural Minnesota. After years of traveling the world with his family as the son of a military man, Charlie chose to settle and raise his family outside of the Twin Cities. Upon retirement, he retreated to his family's rural cottage to enjoy nature's bounty.

Charlie manages to capture the abstract and tangible beauty of nature's treasures. Primarily working in small scale utilizing watercolor, he is able to portray the big picture and minutia alike. From the first frost of the season to a moody autumn sunset, his work invites the viewer to peer through the letterbox opening to the pristine wilderness found in the north country.

Charlie's work is featured in many private collections and can be found in galleries in Minnesota and Central Florida.
