Ysabel Flores is the Featured Artist for August!

Reflections on Nature, Life, and Friendship – By Ysabel Flores I use art to reflect on life, telling stories in visual ways. This latest series was inspired by the experience I had with a close friend of mine, but I feel that it resonates with many other relationships as well. The paintings exhibit a trail we both travelled on last year in 2020. Her photos were taken in the summer and mine from the fall. It just so happened that the photographs we took were from the same spots at the roughly same angles. The only difference

was the times they were taken. It was this happy little coincidence that ultimately gave me a story to tell through paint. That story shows that we are each on this journey called life, and when the pathways intermittently cross, we often form deep connections to one another without even realizing it.
