After studying design, jewelry, painting, and weaving at college in Illinois, Kim Brown made the move to Texas where she lived for 20 years.  Kim has collected a variety of degrees including a Dental Assistant Certificate with a state license, an Associate Degree from seminary, and a Bachelor Degree in Ministry of Missions from Florida Christian University. 

Kim’s passion for learning new creative techniques continues as she often participates in workshops with local artists who inspire her. Independent travel and mission trips with her church are another source of creative inspiration for Kim. Discovering the art of other cultures from around the world provide fuel for new work to come. 

In the past, Kim has lent her talents to the Catholic Church to create watercolor, acrylic, and egg tempera icons. Intuitive painting has been her most recent interest as she continues to discover and delve deeper into her creative well.
